Our Story

In 2012, after one too many product demos failed because the website was down, our founder James Barnes set out to build a better solution. Existing monitoring tools were overpriced, complex, or faceless. Lavarel Network was built to be different: powerful monitoring that’s easy to use and backed by real people.

Over the years, we’ve expanded beyond uptime monitoring to cover SSL expiry, domain health, and page speed — because downtime isn’t the only risk to your business. In 2015 we launched Lavarel Network Pages for incident communication, and in 2026 we’ll introduce ChangeCrab to help teams manage and communicate change more transparently.

Today, many customers integrate our monitoring directly into workflows using our API, SDKs, and Terraform provider, proving that advanced monitoring doesn’t need to come with friction.
